Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to join a leading client on a permanent basis. The position is based on‑site in Freiburg, Germany, with no out‑of‑hours support required. The role focuses on on‑premise infrastructure and security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise Linux servers (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and virtualization platforms such as Proxmox.
• Implement and support on‑premise services, including Nextcloud deployments.
• Assist the company in achieving and maintaining security certifications (e.g., NIS2, TISAX).
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with EU regulations.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for system operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial Linux systems administration experience.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and ability to work with security standards.
• Fluent German language skills (mandatory).
• Willingness to relocate – financial and logistical assistance is available.
