Machine Operators – Excavator & Truck Drivers for FTTH Projects

About the role

We are expanding our fiber‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) network infrastructure across Germany and need skilled civil construction crews. Whether you work as a functional team or as an individual specialist, you will join a crew that handles trenching, micro‑duct and cable laying, machine operation, and surface restoration.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mini‑excavators and compact wheel loaders for trenching and pit excavation while protecting existing underground utilities.
• Drive class C/CE or C1E trucks to transport soil, gravel, materials and machinery, and provide manual civil support on‑site.
• Execute conventional trenching, lay sub‑ducts and fiber optic cables, and ensure safe site setup according to RSA 21 guidelines.
• Re‑instatement of pathways, driveways and road surfaces to their original condition.
• Perform basic daily maintenance of assigned construction vehicles and machinery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil engineering, road construction or cable‑line construction.
• Valid German/EU driver’s licence class C/CE or C1E with Code 95 (for drivers).
• Valid excavator/machinery licence (Baggerführerschein) and experience with mini‑excavators (for operators).
• Ability to read basic construction or route drawings.
• Physically fit, reliable team player with basic German communication (B1 preferred) and legal work authorization in Germany.
