Maintenance Technician – Hotel Facilities

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to keep our 155‑room ibis Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof hotel operating smoothly. Working independently from the basement to the roof, you will ensure all building systems are functional and safe for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing and air‑conditioning/ventilation systems.
• Diagnose faults quickly, implement practical solutions and document actions taken.
• Coordinate external service providers when specialised work is required, overseeing quality and timelines.
• Conduct safety checks throughout the property and address any hazards immediately.
• Serve as a friendly point of contact for guests with technical questions or concerns.

Required profile

• Technical background in electrical work, plumbing or HVAC, preferably with experience in building services or domestic engineering.
• Ability to work independently, stay solution‑oriented and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends as the hotel operates seven days a week.
