Maintenance Technician – Hotel Facility Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep our 155‑room ibis Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof hotel operating smoothly. Reporting to the Director, you will work independently across all areas of the building, from the basement to the roof, ensuring that guests enjoy a safe and comfortable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and inspections of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults quickly, applying practical solutions.
• Coordinate and supervise external service providers, ensuring quality workmanship.
• Conduct safety checks throughout the hotel and take immediate corrective action when needed.
• Serve as a friendly point of contact for guests with technical inquiries.

Required profile

• Technical background in electrical work, plumbing or air‑conditioning/ventilation.
• Ability to work independently, stay solution‑oriented and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends.
