Managing Director Northern Europe

About the role

The Managing Director for Northern Europe will join Cartier’s Regional Executive Committee and drive the brand’s strategic direction, growth, and financial performance across a diverse, decentralized market. As the public face of the Maison, the role combines brand stewardship with commercial leadership to ensure sustainable profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a market‑focused growth plan aligned with global strategy and regional nuances.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration to generate synergies and foster a client‑centric culture.
• Develop and implement the omnichannel network strategy, overseeing boutiques, e‑commerce, and external partners.
• Oversee marketing and communication initiatives to strengthen brand positioning while protecting brand integrity.
• Build, lead, and retain a high‑performing, diverse team, driving talent development and succession planning.
• Own full P&L responsibility, including inventory, CAPEX, DSO and other financial levers to meet profitability targets.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador, cultivating relationships with key public and private stakeholders and managing reputational risk.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury retail or related high‑end consumer sector.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
• Strong financial acumen with full P&L management experience.
• Track record of building high‑performing, diverse teams and fostering a culture of belonging.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging government, opinion leaders, and high‑net‑worth clients.
