Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

Our client, an innovative technology company in the semiconductor and sensor sector, is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead manufacturing activities across internal teams and external partners in Reutlingen, Germany. The role focuses on semiconductor production, assembly, final test, supplier engagement and ramp‑up of high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations with external partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drive performance across quality, delivery, cost and efficiency metrics.
• Manage material planning and manufacturing readiness to meet customer demand.
• Support product ramp‑up and high‑volume production activities.
• Oversee assembly and final test operations at partner sites.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality and commercial teams.
• Develop and lead a team, fostering a strong operational culture.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives across manufacturing and supplier processes.
• Assist with manufacturing transfer activities and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end semiconductor production, including assembly and final test.
• Proven track record managing external manufacturing partners, foundries or OSATs.
• Experience with high‑volume production ramp‑up and material planning.
• Previous people‑leadership experience.
• Fluent in English and German (C1 minimum).
