Master Thesis – Prototype Return Flow Transformation (d/f/m)

About the role

Airbus Operations is looking for a master‑level student to join the Process Excellence Plan & Schedule team in Hamburg. You will work on the Return Flow Transformation project, supporting the validation of a six‑week prototype that aims to unify return‑flow activities across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Review current methods, processes and newly defined roles for return‑flow activities.
• Contribute to the methodology and conceptualisation of the prototype.
• Define success factors and design test cases for the prototype validation phase.
• Develop an independent work package that aligns with the thesis objectives.
• Collaborate with a transnational project team and participate in weekly meetings.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a master’s programme (engineering, logistics, supply‑chain or related field).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently.
• Interest in supply‑chain performance, planning adherence and process improvement.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Hamburg for a six‑month period.
