Mechanical Engineer – Power & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Munich office and contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for power, industrial and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, applying core mechanical engineering principles to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for power, industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Perform mechanical calculations and conduct performance analyses.
• Create, review and optimise 2D/3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
• Support conceptual, basic and detailed design phases.
• Participate in R&D activities, feasibility studies and retrofit projects.
• Assist in project planning, coordinate with suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare technical documentation, conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with exposure to power or industrial plant systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in machine design, mechanical system layout, component selection and performance analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD tools for 2D/3D modelling and detailed drawing preparation.
• Experience in project management and coordination of technical deliverables.
• Background in research and development, investigating new technologies and materials.
• Familiarity with international and industry standards; German language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site in Munich and communicate technical information clearly in English.
