Mechanical Engineer – Product Design

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our product design team. You will help develop competitive future vision systems, working on electro‑mechanical components such as sensors, motors, enclosures, and illumination optics.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and sub‑systems, creating detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform performance tests to verify designs meet specifications.
• Model thermal properties, shock, and vibration responses of mounts and interfaces.
• Define requirements and specifications for systems and components.
• Collaborate with electronic and optical teams to ensure seamless integration.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of mechanical product/design engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving ability at the sub‑system level.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional discussions.
• Self‑starter with solid time‑management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with mechanical production technologies (injection molding, die casting, vacuum forming).
• Ability to create and maintain BOMs, mechanical drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Use of mechanical simulation tools for strength or thermal analysis.
• Hands‑on prototyping using mills, lathes, CNC machines, hand tools, 3D printers, and laser cutters.
• Vendor interaction for custom components and hardware sourcing.
• English language proficiency.
