Mechanical Engineer – Technical Services

About the role

Join Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg as a Mechanical Engineer in Technical Services. You will support the operation of utility systems, ensure they meet safety and production specifications, and help drive cost‑effective improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for operational issues on site.
• Lead troubleshooting of system degradations impacting safety or production.
• Perform monthly operational cost analysis and predict utility usage.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify trends, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Develop and modify standard operating procedures (SOPs) and coordinate installation/commissioning projects.
• Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and root‑cause investigations.
• Collaborate with the Environmental team on compliance matters.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related fields.
• Intermediate knowledge of pumps, pneumatics, fans, flow meters, air handling, chilled water, heating, process piping, rotating equipment, vibration analysis, and heat transfer.
• Experience commissioning HVAC systems and working in clean‑room environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and teamwork skills.
• Intermediate project‑management abilities and good German language skills.
