Mechanical QA/QC Engineer

About the role

Weltec Engineering is looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to support piping and mechanical systems on projects in Germany. The role combines on‑site inspections, punch‑list management and quality assurance for semiconductor, pharma/biopharma or data‑centre facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and coordinate walk‑downs of piping systems to verify compliance with design isometrics and LSP (P&ID) drawings.
• Compile detailed punch‑lists and supervise trade resources to close out identified items.
• Participate in daily/weekly punch status meetings and report progress to the client.
• Maintain up‑to‑date as‑built isometrics and ensure pressure tests meet system boundaries.
• Prepare test packs for execution and hand‑over of testing scope.
• Conduct W1/W2/W3 walks with the client to achieve timely system hand‑over.
• Assist quality audits of pipe fabrication and welding, identifying improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• 3rd‑level Mechanical Engineering degree or nationally recognised pipefitting certification.
• Proven QA/QC experience on mechanical or piping projects, preferably in semiconductor or pharma/biopharma environments.
• Familiarity with HVAC, piping systems and LSP/P&ID documentation.
• Experience with data‑centre projects is a plus.
