Mechatronics Technician – Nuclear Power Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a Mechatronics Technician to operate, maintain and commission specialized equipment used in nuclear power plants worldwide. The role is based in Mannheim and reports to the Operations Manager. You will work closely with product and development engineers to support testing and development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain remote‑controlled equipment such as milling, drilling, electric discharge machining and bolting systems.
• Commission and test newly designed equipment before deployment.
• Support product and development engineers during testing phases, including parameter development.
• Operate specialized equipment on‑site at nuclear power plants.
• Manufacture or modify electrical and mechanical parts for equipment.
• Assemble equipment and collaborate across departments and international teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a skilled Mechatronics Technician or in a comparable role.
• Fluent German (native or C1/C2) and good English communication skills (minimum A2, preferably B1).
• Technical aptitude with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant NDE certifications (VT, UT, PT, ET) are a plus.
