Medical Doctor – AI & Real‑World Evidence Research

About the role

As a Medical Doctor at mama health you will combine clinical expertise with AI to turn a unique patient‑generated dataset into scientific evidence. You will work at the intersection of medicine, real‑world evidence and cutting‑edge technology to drive publications and shape medical quality across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end scientific publication projects: define research questions, design studies, coordinate co‑authors and guide papers to publication.
• Build and maintain medical knowledge bases, including indication‑specific databases and clinical reference systems.
• Review and approve medical and patient‑facing content to ensure scientific rigor and clinical accuracy.
• Collaborate with academic partners, pharma medical teams, patient organisations and external researchers.
• Translate patient‑reported data and AI‑generated insights into clinically meaningful real‑world evidence.
• Help define responsible use of AI and large language models in healthcare research.

Required profile

• Medical degree (Approbation or equivalent); MD/PhD or active doctoral work is a plus.
• Experience with scientific publications and familiarity with the publication process.
• Strong understanding of study design, clinical research methods and biostatistics.
• Enthusiasm for technology, AI‑driven healthcare and large language models.
• Excellent scientific writing skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, able to thrive in a fast‑moving startup environment.
