Member of Engineering – Agent Sandboxes

About the role

This position is based in Germany and focuses on building secure, scalable sandbox environments for AI agents and code execution. You will work at the intersection of platform engineering, distributed systems and machine learning infrastructure, enabling large‑scale experimentation and model training.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement highly reliable sandboxed execution environments that can support hundreds of thousands to millions of concurrent agent sessions.
• Own the full development lifecycle from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
• Collaborate with research, engineering and platform teams to translate requirements into robust infrastructure solutions.
• Continuously improve reliability, scalability, security and performance of the sandbox platform.
• Evaluate and integrate isolation techniques, container runtimes and runtime strategies to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Develop observability, automation and infrastructure‑management processes to support operational excellence.

Required profile

• Strong systems engineering background with experience in distributed platforms and large‑scale production environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Proven ability to design, build and operate secure virtualization and sandboxing solutions.
• Solid programming skills in Go, Python or comparable systems languages.
