Microsoft System Administrator (IT Infrastructure)

About the role

As a Microsoft System Administrator you will ensure the reliability, security and continuous improvement of the global environment while supporting internal users across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, secure and continuously develop the globally networked IT infrastructure.
• Administer and monitor Windows Servers and related services such as Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Provide in‑house client support for international sites.
• Manage network components including routing, firewalls and VPN connections.
• Maintain virtualization platforms based on Hyper‑V.
• Oversee Microsoft cloud services (Exchange Online, Azure, Intune) and backup solutions (Veritas BackupExec).

Required profile

• Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with a solid technical background.
• Several years of professional experience in network and Windows‑Server administration.
• High level of self‑motivation, reliability and a structured, detail‑oriented working style.
• Fluent German (C1 or native) and good English communication skills.
