Mid-level DevOps Engineer (Berlin)

About the role

You will join the Product Engineering team to help us meet high‑scale customer demands. Working closely with product delivery teams, you will improve our SaaS platform’s deployment processes, reliability, performance, tooling, and security while enhancing the engineering team’s experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a cloud‑based infrastructure on a major European cloud provider.
• Partner with product delivery teams to accelerate service delivery and bridge development‑production gaps.
• Improve developer experience by enhancing tooling, automation, performance, and metrics visibility.
• Continuously strengthen high‑availability setups and eliminate single points of failure.
• Refine monitoring to detect issues early and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Test high‑availability and conduct emergency drills to prepare for real incidents.

Required profile

• Experience deploying and monitoring web applications, preferably with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable working with Linux, shell scripting, and the command line.
• Hands‑on experience with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Genuine interest in improving developer experience and tooling.
• Collaborative mindset, clear communication, and a background in software engineering.
• Based in Berlin.
