Mobile & Backend Engineer (React Native)

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile & Backend Engineer to own features from a React Native mobile app through to the backend services that power it. You will work in a small, high‑performing product and tech team, delivering customer‑facing experiences, APIs and internal tools that impact thousands of users daily.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship new features for a React Native mobile application.
• Develop backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement ordering, loyalty, rewards and payment experiences.
• Integrate with payment providers, POS systems and third‑party services.
• Create internal tools to support day‑to‑day operations.
• Improve application performance, reliability and observability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Operations teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production mobile applications.
• Strong commercial experience with React Native (Expo a plus).
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs.
• Knowledge of MongoDB or similar databases.
• Experience shipping apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ownership mentality.
