Mobile & Backend Engineer (React Native)

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile & Backend Engineer to join our fast‑growing consumer brand in Berlin. You will own features from the React Native mobile app through to the Node.js backend services, delivering customer‑facing experiences that impact thousands of users daily.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship new features for a React Native mobile application.
• Develop backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Work on ordering, loyalty, rewards and payment experiences.
• Integrate with payment providers, POS systems and third‑party services.
• Create internal tools that support day‑to‑day operations.
• Improve application performance, reliability and observability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Operations teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production mobile applications.
• Strong commercial experience with React Native (Expo is a plus).
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to design and build REST APIs.
• Knowledge of MongoDB or similar database technologies.
• Experience shipping apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and an ownership mentality.
