Nature Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Nature Consultant to join our Climate & Nature Solutions advisory team in Frankfurt. The consultant will help global clients navigate emerging nature‑related regulations and voluntary frameworks, turning complex requirements into practical strategies across operations, sourcing and value chains.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in designing and implementing forest‑positive and deforestation‑free supply‑chain strategies.
• Identify and manage nature DIROs (dependencies, impacts, risks, opportunities) and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Interpret and operationalise EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements, including due‑diligence, traceability, geolocation and risk assessments.
• Advise on Science Based Targets for Nature (SBTN) target setting, baseline development and implementation planning.
• Provide technical advisory on forest‑risk commodities, land‑use change, hotspot analysis and mitigation measures.
• Develop traceability systems, supplier engagement programmes and data frameworks to meet regulatory and voluntary disclosure needs.
• Translate technical analyses into clear disclosures for CDP Forests, TNFD and integrated ESG reporting.
• Contribute to business development activities such as proposals and client pitches.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in sustainability, preferably focused on forestry, land‑use or forest‑risk commodity supply chains.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EUDR or similar deforestation regulations and TNFD‑aligned risk assessment approaches.
• Strong analytical ability to conduct DIRO assessments and geospatial or commodity‑level data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to build trusted advisor relationships with clients.
