Onsite Lecturer – Information Technology (BSc & MSc)

About the role

The MediaDesign University of Applied Sciences (MDH) in Düsseldorf is seeking an onsite Lecturer to teach Information Technology modules within its Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. The position involves delivering courses in English, covering areas such as software development, network engineering, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analytics and front‑end development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lectures, seminars, labs and tutorials according to the curriculum.
• Supervise student projects, research activities and Bachelor’s/Master’s theses.
• Design and assess examinations and other forms of student evaluation.
• Maintain industry partnerships to keep teaching content current and relevant.
• Participate in university committees and contribute to programme development.

Required profile

• Completed university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (minimum Master’s degree).
• 2–3 years of professional experience in industry or applied research.
• At least one year of teaching experience at the higher‑education level.
• Strong pedagogical and didactic competence.
