Operational EW Specialist – Mission Data & Ground Support System

About the role

We are looking for an Operational Electronic Warfare (EW) Specialist to support mission data and ground‑support systems for the A400M, Eurofighter and Tornado platforms. Based at our Manching site, you will join an agile, international team that develops and maintains state‑of‑the‑art EW mission‑data software for defence customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to systems engineers on the operational use of EW mission data by air‑force units.
• Support the development lifecycle – from concept definition and design to requirements validation, testing and qualification – using an agile approach.
• Translate complex defence EW operational needs into clear technical requirements for engineering teams.
• Define, document and validate end‑to‑end operational use cases for EW ground‑support software.
• Design concepts, interfaces and workflows to integrate ground‑support systems with aircraft platforms.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in aerospace, defence or related fields.
• Strong understanding of electronic warfare concepts and mission‑data handling.
• Experience working with air‑force or defence customers in operational contexts.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EW mission‑data formats and ground‑support system architecture.
• Familiarity with system design, requirements engineering and test procedures.
