Operations & Maintenance Engineer – Renewable Energy (PV)

About the role

We are looking for an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to lead the performance and upkeep of utility‑scale photovoltaic assets across Germany. The role is site‑based, offering high autonomy and the chance to optimise the operation of renewable energy plants.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate plant operations and maintenance activities across multiple renewable sites.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and external service providers.
• Support operational tasks related to substations, medium‑voltage (MV) systems and plant infrastructure.
• Monitor asset performance via SCADA and prepare operational reports.
• Handle incidents, outages and corrective maintenance actions.
• Serve as the local point of contact for all asset‑related matters.
• Ensure HSE, environmental and quality compliance on site.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and share best practices with remote teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy operations or asset management.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
• Fluent in German and English.

Required skills

• SCADA systems knowledge.
• Understanding of photovoltaic plant operations.
• Experience with substations and medium‑voltage electrical systems.
• Background in electrical engineering (preferred).
