Operations Manager – Manufacturing Site (Southern Germany)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a strategically important manufacturing site in Southern Germany. The role offers full responsibility for plant performance, safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own all plant operations and ensure world‑class manufacturing performance.
• Execute production plans while meeting quality, delivery, productivity and financial targets.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop, coach and inspire production leaders and operational teams.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and operational‑excellence programmes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage the site’s operational budget and identify cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Define and implement the site’s operational strategy for long‑term competitiveness.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, R&D and Commercial functions.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and use data‑driven decisions to implement improvements.
• Provide regular business updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• More than 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or advanced industrial sectors.
• Proven track record in leading complex operations and organisational change.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, fluent in English and German.
