Operator Service 1

About the role

The Operator Service 1 position is responsible for safe and efficient operation of production facilities at Synthomer, a leading polymer manufacturer. You will work on ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards while supporting daily manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to occupational safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and report any safety deficiencies.
• Support internal and external audits (e.g., SAM) and prepare risk assessments.
• Monitor and control plant installations such as tank farms, wastewater treatment and UF systems.
• Prepare and execute production batches, operate, maintain and clean equipment.
• Document production processes and measurement data in line with legal specifications.
• Receive, inspect, store and pick raw materials; manage waste shipment and environmentally‑compliant disposal.
• Conduct sampling and laboratory analyses.
• Utilise relevant IT systems (SAP, PLS, Batch‑Controller) for production tracking.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Required profile

• Qualified Chemist Technician or comparable training in the chemical industry.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with MS‑Office applications.
• Knowledge of transport and storage regulations for hazardous substances.
• Valid forklift operator licence.
