People Operations Manager – Processes & Automation

About the role

As a People Operations Manager focused on processes, automation and AI workflows, you will shape how people, managers and the People team work together across Europe. You will combine hands‑on HR operations with strategic improvements to create smoother, data‑driven employee journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Identify friction points, manual work and data gaps in People processes and prioritize high‑impact improvements.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end workflows, standards and documentation for onboarding, internal changes and off‑boarding.
• Lead automation and self‑service initiatives using no‑code/low‑code tools and AI where they add real value.
• Improve people data quality, build operational reporting and use insights to guide next steps.
• Support international growth by operationalising new legal entities, EOR transitions and locally compliant benefits.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in People Operations or a comparable operational HR role.
• Proven track record managing core employee‑lifecycle processes (HRIS, contracts, payroll inputs).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot patterns, prioritize improvements and measure impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in German and English (C1/C2 level).
• Experience in a high‑growth, scale‑up environment and willingness to work from Hamburg at least quarterly.

Required skills

• Personio (HRIS) administration.
• Experience with tools such as Leapsome, Notion or Slack Workflows.
• No‑code/low‑code automation platforms.
• AI‑assisted workflow design.
• Reporting and dashboard creation.
