Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance Partner

About the role

The Plant Controller will serve as the primary finance partner for a major manufacturing facility in Bavaria. Reporting to senior management, you will combine plant controlling, cost accounting, and financial planning to drive performance and ensure robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and produce accurate site P&L reports.
• Manage standard costing, cost accounting, variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and financial planning with detailed analysis.
• Partner with operations, supply chain and plant leadership to improve productivity, yields and profitability.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals through financial modelling and ROI analysis.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, statutory requirements and audit standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Proven experience as a Plant Controller, Manufacturing FP&A, Cost Accountant or similar in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SAP (or comparable ERP system)
