Plant Manager – Operations Leader (200 staff)

About the role

The Plant Manager will take full ownership of a manufacturing site of approximately 200 employees, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality production in line with global standards. This transformational position focuses on driving operational excellence, Lean practices and continuous improvement while leading cultural change across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end plant operations, covering production, quality, safety, maintenance and supply‑chain interfaces.
• Define and implement best‑in‑class ways of working aligned with global operational excellence standards.
• Coach, develop and inspire cross‑functional teams to foster a high‑performance, accountable culture.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance and HR.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and boost efficiency.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or comparable technical qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in operations management within an industrial environment (chemical, manufacturing, etc.).
• Proven track record in turnaround situations and change‑management projects.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
