Platform Engineer – Build Scalable AI Platform

About the role

Langdock is looking for a Platform Engineer to own and evolve the core building blocks of its AI platform used by thousands of European enterprises. You will be responsible for turning complex capabilities such as model access, agent execution, and sandboxed compute into stable, reusable services that power a wide range of products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate shared platform services with clear contracts and robust failure behavior.
• Develop a durable agent runtime that can pause for approvals, recover from failures, and avoid duplicate tool calls.
• Build the Model Gateway, providing a model‑agnostic API for managed and customer‑provided models, including routing, rate‑limiting, and usage tracking.
• Create shared services with explicit interfaces, collaborating with Systems Engineers on underlying mechanisms.
• Ensure observability, reliability, and scalability of all services in production.

Required profile

• Strong background in software engineering with experience building backend services at scale.
• Ability to own a service from design through long‑term operation, including migrations and incident response.
• Comfortable working in distributed systems and collaborating across product teams.
