Pre-Project Manager – Technical Projects

About the role

The Pre-Project Manager is responsible for leading pre‑project activities from initial customer needs through to a firm quotation and hand‑over to the implementation team. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while supporting overall sales results and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical concepts and solutions for small to large‑scale projects, aligning with Tetra Pak experts across borders.
• Lead process design, engineering, component specification, cost calculation, and preparation of quotation and contracting documents.
• Define deliverables and scope together with customers based on strategic and economic evaluations.
• Organise and lead design, risk, and performance reviews, as well as time‑schedule and commissioning commitments.
• Coordinate closely with the Supply Management organization and pre‑project core teams.
• Act as pre‑project manager for opportunities ranging from small to large scale.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or Food Engineering.
• Fluent German (native level) and strong English communication skills.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering, commissioning, and project leadership within the food or liquid processing industry.
• Proven experience delivering processing solutions and managing installation projects.
• Customer‑focused with strong negotiation and client‑facing abilities.
