Predictive Maintenance Internship (m/f/d)

About the role

The Asset Monitoring Solutions & Services unit at BASF is looking for a motivated intern to support predictive maintenance activities. Over a 3‑6 month period starting in August 2026, you will help integrate various machines into a condition‑monitoring platform and become familiar with the related IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Apply innovative model‑ and data‑based condition‑monitoring methods to process engineering equipment.
• Get acquainted with the system architecture and contribute ideas for tool development.
• Integrate different types of machines into the monitoring process.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary, cross‑departmental team and present results.
• Support the continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a technical field such as engineering or physics.
• Strong interest in linking plant engineering with digital technologies.
• Excellent English and good German language skills.
• Motivation and perseverance to turn scientific findings into practical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and contribute ideas to the team.
