PreMaster Program – Embedded Sensor Computing (RISC‑V)

About the role

Join Bosch Sensortec’s PreMaster Program and gain hands‑on experience in embedded sensor computing while working toward a master’s degree. You will work with RISC‑V processor cores and contribute to the development of next‑generation intelligent sensor products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of RISC‑V cores and compare them with commercial and proprietary CPU architectures.
• Evaluate software ecosystems, including compilers, toolchains, embedded RTOS and AI frameworks.
• Analyze instruction‑set extensions and their impact on system performance.
• Perform ASIC‑based assessments of power, performance and area (PPA).
• Collaborate with internal experts and external partners to drive data‑based decisions and present technical results.

Required profile

• Genuine curiosity for processor technology and hardware‑software interaction.
• Analytical mindset with a structured, independent, proactive work style.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology or a related field.
• Very good English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Experience with GCC or LLVM compilers.
• Understanding of computer architecture and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL) – optional.
