Problem Solver – Software Engineer (PhD required)

About the role

Join a small, agile team of up to five engineers and take part in the full software lifecycle—from design and coding to testing, deployment, and production support. You will learn quickly through hands‑on training with experienced colleagues and directly shape products used by millions of enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy large‑scale software platforms.
• Maintain and operate production systems in a high‑availability environment.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Continuously improve code quality and engineering practices.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Strong programming abilities in C/C++, Python, or Java.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of tasks.
• Willingness to relocate to Hamburg (or already based there).
• Fluent English communication skills.
