Procurement Analyst – SDG Local Action

About the role

The Procurement Analyst will support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Local Action team within UNDP’s Governance, Rule of Law and Peacebuilding Hub. The position focuses on delivering procurement solutions that enable local and regional governments to implement SDG‑related projects effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of procurement plans for SDG Local Action programmes.
• Conduct market research, prepare tender documents and evaluate bids in line with UNDP procurement policies.
• Coordinate contract management, monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
• Provide analytical support on procurement data, contributing to SDG‑16+ monitoring and reporting.
• Liaise with local authorities, UN partners and private‑sector stakeholders to secure value‑for‑money solutions.

Required profile

• National of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.
• Relevant experience in procurement, preferably within international development or public‑sector contexts.
• Knowledge of UN procurement rules and familiarity with SDG implementation frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to work in multicultural teams.
