Procurement Contracts Manager – Space Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Contracts Manager to join the Procurement Contracts team within Airbus Defence & Space’s Space Systems division in Ottobrunn. The role will support the Air Power, Space and Connected Intelligence business lines, ensuring that contractual frameworks align with the company’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for specific Space Systems projects and programmes, overseeing contractual aspects from inception to delivery.
• Define, maintain and enforce Airbus Defence & Space procurement contractual policy, including Terms & Conditions.
• Draft, review and update standard procurement contracts, integrating economic, commercial, technological, legal and risk‑management requirements.
• Provide expert advice during Calls for Tenders, approve contractual baselines, assess bid elements and support negotiation processes.
• Lead negotiations and contract finalisation together with commodity managers for a wide range of agreements (NDAs, collaboration agreements, goods and services procurement, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations while safeguarding both procurement and sales objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or contract management within a complex, multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of contractual law, commercial terms and risk management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and cultures.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
