Procurement Specialist (m/f/x)

About the role

Skeleton Technologies is expanding its ultracapacitor and SuperBattery production in Leipzig and seeks a Procurement Specialist to ensure timely, cost‑effective supply of raw materials and components. You will work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to keep the production schedule on track.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, order and coordinate raw materials, components and other resources across all Skeleton entities.
• Maintain master data for assigned parts and generate purchase orders.
• Schedule and oversee the delivery of materials, balancing inventory to avoid excess or obsolescence.
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes and cancellations.
• Distribute forecasts to the supply base and coordinate with internal departments on production goals and supplier payments.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in automation, engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Understanding of direct material procurement, supplier qualification and onboarding.
• Familiarity with VMI, blanket orders and consignment stock models.
• Ability to read technical drawings and component specifications.
• Basic knowledge of supply‑chain risk management and supplier relationship management.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Excel for spend analysis, price benchmarking and demand forecasting.
