Product Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Product Data Analyst to join a fast‑moving product team in Germany. You will act as the dedicated analytics partner to product managers, helping them understand user behavior, activation, and adoption patterns that drive product success for a leading workflow automation platform.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product managers to conduct deep analysis of product usage, user behavior, and feature performance.
• Perform advanced analyses across activation, onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion to uncover key behavioral drivers.
• Deliver cross‑product and segment‑level insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Co‑develop hypotheses, design analytical approaches, and validate product decisions.
• Influence roadmap decisions with data‑backed recommendations.
• Design, evaluate, and interpret A/B tests and experiments with statistical rigor.
• Collaborate with engineering on event instrumentation, tracking design, and data quality.
• Proactively surface insights and recommendations without formal requests.
• Translate complex findings into clear narratives for decision‑makers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in product analytics or data analysis within B2B SaaS environments.
• Strong background in analyzing user behavior, product funnels, activation metrics, retention drivers, and feature adoption.
• Deep expertise in SQL and modern data stacks (e.g., BigQuery, dbt, Metabase or equivalents).
• Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, bias detection, and experimental design.
• Proven experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests.
• Experience defining event tracking schemas and working with engineering on instrumentation.
