Product Engineer Internship (Tech Track)

About the role

As an intern at Tacto you will join the Product Engineer track, building the core product – the platform, AI agents, integrations and data layer that European procurement teams rely on. You will be placed in one of the technical teams (Product, Design, Engineering or Data Automation) based on your skills and the company’s needs, and will ship features that move procurement from spreadsheets to AI‑native operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to prototype, prioritize and ship product features that enable AI‑driven procurement.
• Design and implement UI patterns for supervising AI agents (Design team).
• Develop and maintain the platform, agentic systems and infrastructure using a modern stack.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and contribute to the overall product roadmap.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced environment such as a startup or scale‑up.
• Hands‑on familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor).
• Self‑driven, naturally curious and comfortable working independently.
• Fluent communication in German and English.
