Production Manager

About the role

NAXCON GmbH is seeking a Production Manager to lead process optimisation within its defence‑focused manufacturing unit in Bremen. You will work closely with production, quality, planning and engineering teams to drive efficiency, reduce waste and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current manufacturing and production processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement potential.
• Develop and implement lean‑based process improvements to increase productivity and operational stability.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities across workflows, material usage and resource planning.
• Support quality initiatives by pinpointing process weaknesses and defining corrective actions.
• Assist production planning and control activities in coordination with relevant departments.
• Prepare analysis reports, improvement proposals, action plans and documentation for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures and drive follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Professional experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably with automotive suppliers, special‑purpose machinery manufacturers or industrial production firms.
• Proven track record of optimising manufacturing and production processes.
• Hands‑on experience with lean manufacturing methods and production planning/control.
• Strong analytical, structured and solution‑oriented working style.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German.
• Willingness to travel worldwide as needed.
