Project Development Manager – Battery Energy Storage (Germany)

About the role

As Project Development Manager Germany, you will own two strategically important battery energy storage projects that have secured land and grid connection capacity. You will lead the permitting phase, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure project milestones, budgets and strategic interests are met. The role works closely with external development partners and internal teams to drive projects from early‑stage development through to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the permitting process for both projects, maintaining progress and achieving milestones.
• Represent Giga Storage’s interests with external partners, authorities, landowners and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, risk assessments and governance structures while aligning internal and external parties.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with grid operators, local authorities, consultants and development partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project development or project management within large infrastructure, energy or technical installation environments.
• Proven experience with permitting processes, stakeholder management and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Master’s degree in a technical or commercial discipline (e.g., Engineering, Energy Systems, Business Administration) or a Bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience.
• Native German language proficiency and strong professional English communication skills.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
