Project Engineer – Wind Farm SCADA Integration

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the design, implementation and commissioning of wind‑farm SCADA systems for a leading renewable‑energy client. You will act as the technical bridge between customers, internal specialists and external vendors, ensuring that all IT and communication requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and track technical requirements for wind‑farm and SCADA cabinet concepts.
• Define remote‑access solutions (VPN, IPsec) and data interfaces (OPC XML‑DA, OPC UA, SQL).
• Design VLAN configurations for customer equipment.
• Coordinate with specialist departments to develop solutions outside the Nordex portfolio.
• Organise, lead and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Support on‑site and remote commissioning of wind farms.
• Provide technical IT support to project management and collaborate with network/SCADA architects, sales and service teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering Informatics, Technical Informatics or equivalent (e.g., IT specialist with system‑integration focus).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in an international industrial environment.
• Strong German and English communication skills; Spanish is a plus.
• Independent, goal‑oriented work style with strong intercultural competence.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
