Project Engineer – Wind Farm & SCADA Integration

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the design, implementation and commissioning of wind‑farm SCADA solutions for a leading partner. You will work closely with specialist departments, customers and external vendors to translate technical requirements into reliable, secure systems.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and track technical requirements for wind‑farm and SCADA cabinet concepts.
• Define remote‑access solutions (VPN, IPsec) and data interfaces (OPC XML‑DA, OPC UA, SQL).
• Design VLAN configurations for customer equipment and coordinate integration outside the Nordex portfolio.
• Organise, lead and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for SCADA systems.
• Support commissioning activities both remotely and on‑site.
• Provide technical IT support to project management and collaborate with network/SCADA architects, sales and service teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering Informatics, Technical Informatics or equivalent IT/system‑integration qualification.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in an international industrial environment.
• Strong written and spoken German and English; Spanish is a plus.
• Independent, goal‑oriented work style with strong intercultural competence.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
