Project Engineer – Wind Farm & SCADA Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the design, implementation and commissioning of wind‑farm SCADA solutions for a leading partner in the renewable energy sector. You will work closely with network, SCADA and service teams to translate customer requirements into robust technical concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and track technical requirements for wind‑farm and SCADA cabinet concepts.
• Define remote‑access solutions (VPN, IPsec) and identify data interfaces (OPC XML‑DA, OPC UA, SQL).
• Design VLAN interfaces for customer equipment and coordinate with specialist departments.
• Organise, lead and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Support remote and on‑site commissioning of wind farms.
• Provide technical IT support to project management and collaborate with architects, sales and service teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering Informatics, Technical Informatics or equivalent IT system‑integration qualification.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in an international industrial environment.
• Strong written and spoken German and English; Spanish is a plus.
• Independent, goal‑oriented and process‑driven work style with high intercultural competence.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for multi‑day business trips.
