Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead scope prioritisation, budget and resource management for a strategic Air Power portfolio. Based in Manching, the role supports the Programme Instantiation and Roll‑out team within the End‑to‑End Process, Methods, Tools and Data (E2E PMTD) area.

Key responsibilities

• Own and orchestrate the Operational Planning (OP) process, aligning budget, resources and planning across the AP Extended PMTD team.
• Maintain a transparent baseline/forecast, manage quarterly forecast cycles and ensure budget governance according to ADS finance rules.
• Act as the integration layer between budget, resource demand and capacity, highlighting gaps and enabling scope prioritisation.
• Coordinate resource demand and capacity alignment with contributing functions and tools such as MyWL+.
• Align operational planning with funding entities, stakeholders and other divisions to secure transparency on commitments and trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in project or programme management, preferably within aerospace or defence.
• Strong understanding of budget steering, financial controlling and resource management.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and maintain clear communication with finance, commercial and technical teams.
