Project Manager – Capital & Engineering Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead capital investment and engineering projects within a highly automated food production environment. Reporting to the Head of Technical Department, you will manage the full project lifecycle from concept and feasibility studies to installation, commissioning, and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and CAPEX projects from analysis and concept creation through implementation and completion.
• Control project budgets, resources, timelines, contractors and stakeholder relationships.
• Analyse production asset lifecycles and define replacement, upgrade or optimisation strategies.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning and validation of new manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and drive improvements in production processes, machinery performance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee projects involving material handling, palletising, unloading equipment, meat preparation technology, grinders, tumblers and related process machinery.
• Ensure seamless integration of equipment with upstream and downstream systems, working closely with automation teams on machine interfaces, HMI and SCADA platforms.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation, operational procedures and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience managing engineering and capital projects in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to develop strategic asset optimisation plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
