Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee complex engineering and construction projects in Frankfurt. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports tracking completion percentage, schedule performance, baseline variance, and costs.
• Maintain a register of all projects and keep status information up to date.
• Deliver projects in line with Mercury Engineering and client health and safety requirements.
• Verify that subcontractors are vetted by Mercury procurement and approved before use.
• Ensure work complies with Mercury’s electrical safety permitting requirements.
• Guide and assist the project team, aligning expectations with project requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections to confirm work follows scope and schedule.
• Establish schedules and milestones, linking subcontractor invoicing to the schedule.
• Monitor subcontractor resources to maintain delivery timelines.
• Manage contract budgets and report monthly status to internal and client meetings.
• Act as point of contact during significant events or technical escalations.
• Implement and review Mercury project audit plans, addressing open items promptly.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage construction projects of varying size and complexity across multiple sites.
• Experience ensuring compliance with health, safety, and electrical safety regulations.
• Strong capability to coordinate subcontractors and monitor their performance against schedules.
• Excellent reporting skills with the ability to present project status to internal and client stakeholders.
