Project Manager – Construction (Solar PV & BESS) in Germany

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction and implementation of utility‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects across Germany. The role is hands‑on, requiring regular site visits, coordination with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful implementation and construction of renewable‑energy projects.
• Monitor progress against programme, budget, quality and contractual requirements.
• Visit construction sites regularly and work closely with site management, supervisors and contractors.
• Coordinate and manage multiple contractors and external service providers simultaneously.
• Identify issues, implement corrective actions and apply quality‑control procedures.
• Support contractor performance monitoring, commercial discussions and technical coordination with internal engineering teams.
• Manage testing, acceptance and handover activities at project completion.
• Maintain clear documentation and provide regular progress reporting to senior management.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams, authorities, consultants, landowners and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in renewable energy, construction or infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing utility‑scale solar PV construction projects.
• Hands‑on delivery of at least one ground‑mounted PV project from construction through completion.
• Approximately 3 + years of specific PV construction experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction project management, including schedule, budget, quality and risk management.
