Project Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead major data centre construction projects in Berlin. You will be responsible for overseeing cost, schedule and quality while coordinating with contractors, consultants and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall project cost, schedule and budgets, including sub‑station (mid‑voltage) works.
• Lead the General Contractor and directly contracted vendors and consultants.
• Track critical milestones and take corrective actions to avoid schedule slips.
• Run client meetings and other required coordination sessions.
• Identify cost drivers, monitor construction costs and report on budget performance.
• Support engineering decisions during design‑build changes.
• Review payment requests and record events that may lead to claims on behalf of the client.
• Facilitate information flow between the project team and the client through regular meetings and written communications.

Required profile

• Construction‑related degree (e.g., construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture).
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience on construction projects; data‑centre experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking abilities.
• Team‑oriented, self‑motivated and willing to support other groups when needed.
• Fluent English and at least B2 level German.
• Available to work 3‑5 days per week on‑site at the construction site.
