Project Manager – Energy Storage Systems

About the role

Saft, a leader in advanced battery technology, is looking for an Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Project Manager to drive end‑to‑end delivery of storage projects across the EMEA region. You will be the main point of contact from proposal through to operational hand‑over, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with warranty and performance guarantees.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate project schedule and cost, define scope and targets for engineering, procurement, quality and product teams.
• Organise kick‑offs, progress meetings and monthly planning updates to keep all stakeholders aligned.
• Monitor commissioning progress, resolve technical blockers and develop mitigation plans when schedules slip.
• Manage project team, subcontractors and client interfaces; define roles, responsibilities and RASI matrices.
• Prepare scope of work, enforce contractual commitments and track subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate sourcing, logistics, HSE requirements and ensure smooth transition to operation & maintenance.
• Control budget, prepare as‑sold cost sheets and ensure margin targets are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex industrial projects, preferably in energy storage or battery systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, quality and product development processes.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Ability to analyse risks, create mitigation plans and drive issues to resolution.
• Fluent in English; German or French is a plus.
