About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to lead product and technology development initiatives in Goettingen, Germany. The role involves coordinating R&D activities, managing interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects meet specifications, costs, and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage product development or major technology projects, including work packages, budgets, and schedules.
• Organize and lead interdisciplinary teams, acting as R&D and Technology Coordinator.
• Develop technical concepts and ensure compliance with specifications, costs, and schedules.
• Represent the project team internally and to customers, handling documentation and reporting.
• Secure necessary assembly, joining technologies, and testing equipment on time and within budget.
• Initiate problem‑solving measures and task forces for urgent development issues.

Required profile

• Degree in physics, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field.
• Experience managing development projects in a high‑tech environment and applying product development processes.
• Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams without direct authority.
• Familiarity with R&D coordination and technology development workflows.
