Project Manager – Retail Store Development

About the role

ASBIS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end development of new Bang & Olufsen and LOEWE retail stores in Berlin. The role owns the full store opening process, from site assessment through design, construction, fit‑out and final handover, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to premium brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate potential store locations in collaboration with the Area Retail Manager, identifying construction complexity and hidden site issues.
• Select and engage architect partners and general contractors, leveraging an established network across Germany and Europe.
• Develop detailed project plans with timelines for design, permitting, construction, procurement and fit‑out.
• Coordinate daily with architects, contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep the build‑out on schedule.
• Oversee furniture procurement and store fit‑out, ensuring all elements meet brand specifications.
• Deliver each store opening on time, within budget and to the exacting standards of the luxury brands.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience opening retail stores, preferably in luxury furniture or high‑end retail.
• Proven expertise in retail construction, build‑out and fit‑out within the premium segment.
• Strong understanding of design development, permitting processes and construction execution.
• Established network of architects and contractors in Germany/DACH and Europe.
• Fluent English and excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
